Trading update and cautionary announcement
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities Exchange South
Africa, shareholders are advised that, in respect of the year ended 31 March
2004:
- attributable earnings are expected to be substantially
(being more than 30%) higher than attributable earnings for the year ended 31
March 2003;
- headline earnings and headline earnings per share are expected to be
materially (being between 10% and 30%) higher than the headline earnings and
headline earnings per share for the year ended 31 March 2003.
The information on which the above trading update has been provided has not been
reviewed or reported on by the company"s auditors.
Shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company"s
shares until the release of the results for the year ending 31 March 2004, which
results are expected to be released by the end of May 2004.
