APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In accordance with Section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Securities Exchange South Africa, shareholders are advised that Robert Lumb has
been appointed to the board of New Clicks Holdings as an independent non-
executive director, effective from 23 April 2004.
Robert (60) is a partner in the Cape Town office of Ernst & Young, the
International Business Advisory and Audit firm. He was the Managing Partner of
the Western Cape practice from 1989 to 2002 and was a member of the firm"s
Executive Committee from 1984 to 2002. He also had responsibility as Account
Executive for a number of major clients of the firm. He retires as a partner of
the firm on 30 June 30 2004.
He chaired the Company Law Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants
in South Africa and was a member of the Institute"s Tax Committee for a number
of years.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 1965, after which he obtained an
Advanced Diploma in Tax Law at the University of Cape Town. He was articled to
E R Syfret & Co., a predecessor firm of Ernst & Young.
