Sun International (South Africa) Limited - Trading Statement And Cautionary
Announcement

Share code: SIS ISIN: ZAE000010104
("SISA")
TRADING STATEMENT AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities Exchange South
Africa ("the JSE") a listed company is required to publish a trading statement
as soon as it becomes aware that the financial results for the next reporting
period will be materially different from those of the corresponding period of
the previous year.
Accordingly, shareholders are advised that SISA"s results for the year ending 30
June 2004 are projected to be substantially higher than those of the prior year.
The word "substantially" is used in this context as defined in the JSE Listings
Requirements to indicate an increase of more than 30% for the year.
Trading at the group"s casino operations has been favourable over the past five
months of the financial year. This has, to an extent, been offset by
disappointing revenues at the group"s premier hotels (The Palace at Sun City and
the Table Bay in Cape Town). The group"s Sugarmill operation, which was
impacted by the opening of a competitor facility in Durban in December 2002, has
shown satisfactory growth in revenues and earnings since December 2003. The
group has further benefited from good cost control and lower interest rates,
which will result in the group achieving substantial growth in earnings.
This trading statement has not been reviewed or reported on by SISA"s auditors.
SISA shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in their SISA
shares.
Sandton
26 April 2004
