Resignation of director
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Securities Exchange South Africa, Avasa advises that Mr Sandile Zungu has
resigned as a non-executive director, with effect from 28 April 2004.
Sandile Zungu advised the Avasa board that he has found that some of his
fidicuary duties as an independent non-executive director of Avasa come into
conflict with his entrepreneurial initiatives in the black empowerment space,
and that such conflicts may become unmanageable in the near future.
The Avasa board thanks Mr Zungu for his valued service as an independent non-
executive director of AVASA and wish him well in his future endeavours.
