INVESTIGATION INTO SHARE TRANSACTIONS
An investigation by the Financial Services Board ("FSB") into trading in shares
of Cadiz was announced in the press on 5 May 2004. This arose out of standard
surveillance procedures of the JSE and the FSB, which procedures Cadiz fully
endorses. Cadiz would like to stress that the investigation is not into the
affairs of the company itself but into specific share dealings of individuals in
the market.
Cadiz is cooperating fully with the JSE and the FSB on the matter and has
submitted all information and material requested to-date.
