TRADING STATEMENT AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
As required in terms of the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa"s Listings
Requirements, City Lodge advises that it expects that its earnings and headline
earnings for the year ended 30 June 2004 will be materially higher than for the
previous financial year. In terms of these Requirements, "materially" is
defined as being between 10% and 30%.
This statement has not been reviewed by City Lodge"s auditors and consequently
shareholders should exercise caution when trading in City Lodge shares, until
the final results are released on or about 12 August 2004.
