Appointment of an alternative non-executive director at Spescom Limited
In accordance with Section 3.59 of the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa
Listings Requirements, in respect of a change to the Board of Directors, Spescom
is pleased to announce the appointment of Colin Rezek as an alternate non
executive director to Mr. M. Mogase, with effect from 13 May 2004.
Colin"s previous experience includes senior management positions in the
operational, marketing and new business development of the listed group Venture
Motor Holdings. In 1998 and 1999 Colin assisted in the establishment and
management of the Equity Africa Fund. The Equity Africa Fund is a R100 million
fund sponsored by ABSA Bank Limited aimed at developing previously disadvantaged
individuals.
Pursuant thereto Colin has been involved in the establishment of MMR Equity
Capital, a private equity management company and MMR Advisory, a corporate
finance advisory business which became Vantage Capital.
He holds a BComm degree and MBA from Wits Business School.
