CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with rule 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities
Exchange South Africa, SAMROC announces the following changes to the Board of
Directors with effect from 14 May 2004:
* Mr Brian Christie has stepped down as Chairman, but remains a non-executive
director;
* Mr Neil Kaner, has resigned from the board;
* Mr Abraham "(Braam" ) Jonker has been appointed Managing Director; and
* Mr Richard Linnell, currently a non-executive director, has been appointed
non-executive Chairman.
