FURTHER CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders of SA Chrome are referred to the detailed cautionary announcement
dated 24 February 2004 and the further cautionary announcement dated 8 April
2004 regarding the agreement reached with Xstrata South Africa (Proprietary)
Limited to establish a shared venture in terms of which they will pool their
respective South African chrome and ferrochrome assets and share in the earnings
before interest, tax and depreciation there from (`the Transaction`).
SA Chrome shareholders are advised that the accounting treatment, and
accordingly the financial effects, of the Transaction are close to finalisation.
A circular to shareholders will be posted as soon as possible thereafter.
Shareholders are advised to continue to exercise caution when trading in their
securities until a further announcement is made.
