TRADING UPDATE AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities Exchange South
Africa (`JSE Listings Requirements`), a listed company is required to publish a
trading statement as soon as it becomes aware that the financial results for the
next reporting period will be substantially different from those of the
corresponding period of the previous year.
Amendments to the South African Statements of Generally Accepted Accounting
Practice, specifically AC132 and AC412, have resulted in IMR`s loss per share
and headline loss per share for the 2004 year being substantially greater than
reported for the immediately preceding financial year.
Furthermore, shareholders are advised that the net asset value per share for the
2004 year will be substantially lower than that reported for the immediately
preceding financial year as a result of the increased shares in issue due to the
IMR rights offer.
Substantially, as defined in the JSE Listings Requirements, means an increase or
a decrease equal to or greater than 30%.
Accordingly, IMR shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in
the Company`s securities until the release of the final results.
