POSTPONEMENT OF GENERAL MEETING OF ALLIANCE SHAREHOLDERS
Further to the joint announcement by the companies on 20 May 2004 shareholders
of the companies are advised that the joint circular relating to the disposal by
Isotec Nutrition (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Alliance of its business to
Fresenius Kabi South Africa (Pty) Ltd was not posted to the shareholders of
Alliance on 20 May 2004 as stated.
The circular was posted to shareholders of Alliance on 28 May 2004. The general
meeting of shareholders of Alliance must therefore be postponed to afford
shareholders requisite notice.
Shareholders of both companies are therefore advised of the following:
* The general meeting of Forim shareholders will be held as published at
10:00 on Friday 4 June 2004 at 17 Faraday Street, Village Main,
Johannesburg, 2001; and
* The general meeting of Alliance shareholders will now be held at 10:00 on
Friday 18 June 2004 at 17 Faraday Street, Village Main, Johannesburg, 2001.
Forms of proxy as included in the circular to the companies` shareholders dated
20 May 2004 will be valid for these meetings.
