RESIGNATION OF SIMEON LANGA
I wish to advise that Simeon Langa has taken voluntary retrenchment from his
role as General Manager, External Affairs, with effect from 30 June 2004.
The reasons for this course of action are Simeon`s slow recovery from his
serious motor vehicle accident in late 2003 and the Company`s intention, in the
near future, to combine the roles of General Manager, External Affairs and
General Manager, Human Resources - roles which will place a heavy burden on the
future incumbent.
Simeon will be resigning as a Director of the Company and as Chairman of the
Board of Trustees of the Palabora Foundation, also with effect from 30 June
2004.
I should like to thank Simeon for his contribution to Palabora over the years
and to wish him success and good health for the future.
