CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
LPC Manhattan Sponsors (Proprietary) Limited is authorised to announce that,
pursuant to the company`s Vision 2005 business strategy, negotiations between
JDH and a newly incorporated South African biotechnology and research company
(`Bioco`), have reached an advanced stage. The negotiations relate to the
acquisition by JDH of a strategic stake in Bioco. Bioco, in turn, has entered
into a strategic research alliance with a leading South African University.
The focus of research is in the field of human stem cells and animal bio cells
with the aim of commercialising certain aspects of the research in the near
future. Due to the sensitive nature of this transaction, more details cannot
be provided at this stage.
Shareholders are advised to exercise caution in dealing in the company`s
shares until a further announcement is made.
