Lonrho Africa announces that it was notified on Tuesday 29 June 2004 that
Silverslaggan AB acquired 12,750,000 ordinary shares of 20 pence each in the
share capital of the Company on Monday 28 June 2004 from The Union Discount
Company of London Limited. Following this transaction, Silverslaggan AB now
owns a total of 18,530,000 ordinary shares, representing 11.76% of the Company`s
issued share capital, whilst The Union Discount Company of London Limited has no
further interest.
Given his interest in both Silverslaggan AB and The Union Discount Company of
London Limited, Mr Peter Gyllenhammar`s beneficial interest in the ordinary
shares of Lonrho Africa remains unchanged.
