TRADING STATEMENT AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are hereby notified that Amap`s results for the 16 months ended 30
June 2004 are expected to be substantially higher than the unaudited results for
the 16 months ended 30 June 2003 (`substantially` being an increase of 30% or
more as defined by the Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities Exchange
South Africa). The unaudited results for the 16 months ended 30 June 2003 are
based on the published audited results for the year ended 28 February 2003 and
the unaudited management accounts for the 4 months ended 30 June 2003. The
results for the 16 months ended 30 June 2004 have not been audited and reported
on by Amap`s auditors, and therefore shareholders are advised to exercise
caution when dealing in the company`s shares until the publication of the
results on or about 27 August 2004.
