SALIENT DATES IN RESPECT OF THE CHANGE OF NAME
Shareholders of Iscor are referred to the announcement dated Tuesday, 29June
2004 regarding a proposed change of name of Iscor to Ispat Iscor Limited.
The salient dates for the implementation of the change of name are as follows:

Circular and notice of general meeting
posted to Iscor shareholders Monday, 26July
Last date for receipt of forms of proxy
for the general meeting by not later than 11:00 Friday, 13August
General meeting to be held at 11:00 Tuesday, 17August
Results of general meeting released on the
Securities Exchange News Service Tuesday, 17August
Results of general meeting published in the South
African press Wednesday, 18August
Last day to trade under the old name `Iscor Limited` Friday, 27August
Name change effected and commencement of trade
under the new name `Ispat Iscor Limited` Monday, 30August
Record date for the change of name Friday, 3September
New share certificates reflecting the change of
name posted by registered post to Iscor shareholders
who have surrendered their documents of title on or
before the close of business on the record date

Dematerialised shareholders` safe custody accounts
updated with the new name by their CSDP or broker Monday, 6September
Notes:
1. These dates and times are subject to amendment. Any amendments to the dates
and times will be announced on the Securities Exchange News Service and
published in the South African press.
2. Share certificates in the name of Iscor Limited may not be dematerialised
or rematerialised after Friday, 27 August 2004.
3. Iscor shareholders who surrender their existing documents of title after
the record date, will have their new share certificates mailed within five
business days of receipt thereof by the transfer secretaries, by registered
post, at the risk of the shareholder concerned.
