CHANGES TO DIRECTORATE AND COMPANY SECRETARY
In compliance with the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa Listings
Requirements, Palabora hereby announces the following changes to its Board of
Directors:
- with effect from 28 July 2004, the appointment of Mr Warrick Ranson as a
Non-Executive Director. Mr Ranson was formerly an alternate Director to Mr John
Rickus and is a Rio Tinto nominee.
- with effect from 1 August, the resignation of Mr Brian Wood as an alternate
Director to Mr Johan Posthumus and his replacement by Mr Paul Henry. Mr Henry
is an Anglo American nominee and is head of Anglo Base Metals sustainable
development unit.
- with effect from 1 August 2004, the resignation of Mr Brett Hone as Company
Secretary and his replacement with Mr Keith Mathole. Mr Mathole has a CIS
qualification from the Southern African Institute of Chartered Secretaries and
Administrators and joins the Company from the State Information Technology
Agency (Pty) Ltd, where he was employed as Assistant Company Secretary. Mr Hone
will move to the role of General Manager, Human Resources.
