TRADING UPDATE
Shareholders are advised that the company`s earnings and headline earnings per
share for the six months ending 31 August 2004 will be substantially below those
of the comparative period in 2003, i.e. 30 June 2003. (As defined in the
Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa,
`substantially` denotes a change equal to or more than 30%).
The company`s earnings and headline earnings per share for the six months ending
31 August 2004 have not been reviewed and/or reported on by the company`s
auditors and accordingly, shareholders are advised to exercise caution when
dealing in the company`s securities until the reviewed interim results for the
six months ending 31 August 2004 are published on or about 28 October 2004.
