RESULTS OF GENERAL MEETING
Deutsche Securities (SA) (Proprietary) Limited is authorised to announce the
results of the general meeting of Iscor shareholders, held today, Tuesday
17August 2004, convened in terms of the notice of meeting contained in the
circular to Iscor shareholders issued on Monday, 26 July 2004.
Shareholders of Iscor are advised that a special resolution to effect the change
of name of Iscor to Ispat Iscor Limited, with effect from today, was passed by
the requisite majority of Iscor shareholders at the general meeting. The special
resolution has been lodged with the Companies and Intellectual Property
Registration Office for registration today. Shareholders are advised that with
regards to the trading systems of the JSE Securities Exchange, South Africa, the
following salient dates with regard to the change in name apply:
2004
Last day to trade under the old name
`Iscor Limited` Friday, 27 August
Name change effected and commencement of trade
under the new name `Ispat Iscor Limited` Monday, 30 August
Shares in the new name listed on the
JSE Securities Exchange, South Africa under
the share code:`IIS` and ISIN code: ZAE000057162 Monday, 30 August
Record date for the change of name Friday, 3 September
New share certificates reflecting the change
of name posted by registered post to Iscor
shareholders who have surrendered their
documents of title on or before the close of
business on the record date (see note 2)
Dematerialised shareholders` safe custody
accounts updated with the new name by their
Central Securities Depository Participant or
Broker Monday 6 September
Notes:
1. Share certificates in the name of Iscor Limited may not be dematerialised
or rematerialised after Friday, 27 August 2004
2. Iscor shareholders who surrender their existing documents of title after
the record date, will have their new share certificates mailed within five
business days of receipt thereof by the transfer secretaries, by registered
post, at the risk of the shareholder concerned.
3. Forms of surrender were posted to certificated shareholders with the
circular to shareholders dated Monday, 26 July 2004. Certificated
shareholders are reminded to surrender their Iscor share certificates.
