TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities Exchange South
Africa (`the JSE Listings Requirements`) a listed company is required to publish
a trading statement as soon as it becomes aware that the financial results for
the next period to be reported on will be substantially different from those of
the previous corresponding period.
The preliminary results of Relyant for the twelve months ended 30 June 2004 show
that the earnings per share and the headline earnings per share of Relyant will
be substantially higher than those of the corresponding period last year. The
JSE Listings Requirements defines `substantially` as an increase in excess of
30%.
These results have not been reviewed or audited, and the preliminary
announcement of Relyant`s results for the twelve months are expected to be
published on or about 6 September 2004.
