TRADING STATEMENT
The improved operational performance, referred to in the financial results for
the year ended 31 December 2003, together with the improved returns on
investments has continued into 2004. It is therefore expected that
Metropolitan`s results for the six months ended 30 June 2004 will show an
improvement on the results of the previous comparative period, being the six
months ended 30 June 2003, of between 20% and 40%. These forecasts have not
been reported on by the company`s auditors.
The interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2004 will be published on 8
September 2004.
