UP-DATE ON MINISTERIAL REPORT
1. The Corpcapital board met on 24 August 2004 and resolved that it should make
public that it has urged and continues to urge the Minister to release the
report.
2. The Minister appointed the inspectors in August 2003. The appointment was
made as a matter of urgency and without notice to Corpcapital. Corpcapital
co-operated fully with the inspectors with the intention of clearing itself of
unjustified allegations.
3. The submissions requested from Corpcapital by the inspectors were completed
in March. The inspectors completed their report in May and delivered it to the
Minister in July.
4. Corpcapital is not responsible for the delay that has followed and has done
all it can to expedite publication of the report. The board is frustrated in
that the delay creates opportunities to undermine the report and divert
attention from its findings.
5. In the best interests of shareholders, the board will continue to do all it
can to expedite release of the report.
