EXTENSION OF VINGUARD LTD OFFER AND FURTHER CAUTIONARY
Extension of the offer
Further to the announcement dated 13 July 2004, LPC Manhattan Sponsors (Pty) Ltd
is authorised to announce that the board of directors of Vinguard Limited has
decided to extend the offer for a further period of one month. The offer will
now close at 16:00 on Thursday, 30 September 2004.
Further cautionary announcement
Further to the announcement dated 24 June 2004, stakeholders are advised that
discussions with South African Biotechnology and Research Company continue.
Accordingly, shareholders are advised to continue exercising caution
in dealing in their shares on the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa until
such time as a further announcement is made.
