TRADING STATEMENT AND FURTHER CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities Exchange South
Africa, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they
become reasonably certain that the financial results for the period to be
reported on next will be more than 20% different from that of the previous
corresponding period.
Given that trading conditions have remained buoyant during the 2nd half of the
financial year, it is expected that Ellerines` headline earnings per share will
show an increase of approximately 35% for the year ended 31 August 2004.
The above information has not been reviewed or reported on by the company`s
auditors. The company`s audited results for the year ended 31 August 2004 are
expected to be published on or about Wednesday 20 October 2004
The shareholders of Ellerines are referred to the Ellerines and Relyant joint
cautionary announcements dated 17 May 2004, 23 June 2004 and 4 August 2004 and
the progress update announcement dated 6 September 2004. Until further
announcements, shareholders are advised to continue to exercise caution when
dealing in their securities.
