FURTHER CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are referred to the cautionary announcement published in the press
and on SENS on 20 July 2004, and to the cautionary announcement published in the
press and on SENS on 17 August 2004.
Shareholders are advised that the negotiations referred to in the first
cautionary announcement have been temporarily suspended pending the provision of
certain further information by the interested parties.
The second cautionary announcement relates to Conafex`s Zimbabwean subsidiary,
Zimcor Limited, and the compulsorily acquisition of all of its Zimbabwean
agricultural estates by the government of Zimbabwe. The full implications of
The offer comprises an offer for sale, subject to certain conditions (the
`Offer`), by GUS Holdings B.V., a wholly-owned subsidiary of GUS plc,
incorporated in Eindhoven, Netherlands (the `Offeror`), of up to 39,999,999
