EXPLOSION AT SASOL
Astrapak conveys its deepest sympathy to staff and families affected by the loss
of life and injury caused by the explosion at the Sasol Polymers (`Sasol`) on 1
September 2004.
The impact of the explosion at Sasol on Astrapak`s ability to supply customers
is expected to be minimal.
Furthermore, Astrapak has made contingency plans to ensure alternative raw
material procurement in the unlikely event that Sasol is unable to resume normal
supplies in the short-term. Consequently, Astrapak does not expect earnings to
be negatively affected as a result of the explosion at Sasol.
