SUPER GROUP WINS AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT FLEET MANAGEMENT CONTRACTS
SUPER Group`s Australian fleet management subsidiary, FleetAustralia, has been
awarded the Tasmanian and Western Australian Government fleet management
contracts. These contracts will further boost the subsidiary`s profitability and
have increased its fleet under management to 30,000 vehicles.
FleetAustralia has recently been re-awarded the Tasmanian Government`s 2,300
vehicle fleet management contract. FleetAustralia, which was appointed as the
Tasmanian Government`s exclusive fleet manager in 1998, has been mandated for a
further six year period, three years plus an option to extend the contract for a
further three years.
The Western Australian Government recently appointed FleetAustralia as one of
two suppliers for its fleet management needs. The contract is for an initial 3
year period with a further 2-year renewal option. FleetAustralia`s relationship
with the Western Australian Government commenced in 1994 when it was selected as
one of its fleet management service providers. The successful award of this
contract will result in FleetAustralia managing an additional 4,000 vehicles,
taking the total managed on behalf of the Western Australian Government to in
excess of 6,000 vehicles from September 2004. This equates to FleetAustralia
managing more than two-thirds of the Western Australian Government`s fleet.
Both Government fleets are internally funded by their State Treasuries.
