TRADING UPDATE
Shareholders are advised that Aludie`s earnings per share and headline earnings
per share for the financial year ended 30 June 2004 are expected to be
substantially lower than the earnings per share and headline earnings per share
for the year ended 30 June 2003. Substantially, as defined in the Listings
Requirements of the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa, means a decrease equal
to or greater than 30%. The information contained herein has not been reviewed
or reported on by Aludie`s auditors.
Shareholders in Aludie are also reminded, as cautioned on 3 September 2004, that
the Board of Directors of Aludie is currently considering various options for
the recapitalisation of Aludie and its subsidiaries, including the possible
implementation of a scheme of arrangement in Aludi Technologies (Proprietary)
Limited.
