Following the acquisition of SamQuarz Limited by Petra Mining and notification
from the Stock Exchange, FTSE and the JSE announces the following changes:
INDEX CHANGE EFFECTIVE FROM
START OF TRADING
FTSE/JSE Africa Fledgling (J204) Petra Mining (South Africa, ZAE000010237,
6684431) will remain in the index with an increased shares in issue figure of
181,444,444 and an unchanged investability weighting of 50%. 30 September
2004
The classification will change from 879 - Specialty and Other Finance to 048 -
Other Mineral Extractors and Mines.
