APPOINTMENT OF A NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND CHANGE TO THE BOARD
In accordance with Section 3.59 of the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa
Listings Requirements, in respect of the appointment of a director and a change
to the board of directors, HCI shareholders are informed that Mr Jabu Ngcobo has
been appointed as a non-executive director of HCI with effect from 1 October
2004. Further to this, Mr VE Mphande, currently a non-executive director of HCI,
will assume the role of executive director of HCI with effect from 1 October
2004.
