TRADING STATEMENT AND WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
TRADING STATEMENT
AVASA shareholders are advised that AVASA`s earnings and headline earnings per
share are expected to decline from earnings of 0.39 cents per share for the year
ended 31 August 2003 to a loss in the region of 2.65 cents per share for the
year ended 31 August 2004.
The decrease is largely attributable to the decrease in the share price of Sage
Limited during the year ended 31 August 2004.
WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are referred to the cautionary announcement dated 19 July 2004,
renewed on 18 August 2004, where shareholders were advised that AVASA was in
negotiations which, if successfully concluded, may have had a material effect on
the price of AVASA`s securities. The negotiations have been discontinued and
caution is no longer required to be exercised when dealing in AVASA shares.
