TRADING STATEMENT AND DATE OF PUBLICATION OF 2004 FINANCIAL RESULTS
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities Exchange South
Africa (`JSE Listings Requirements`), shareholders are advised that EC-Hold`s
headline loss per share (`HLPS) for the year ended 30 June 2004 is expected to
reduce between 12.0 and 14.4 cents per share. The loss per share (`LPS`) is
expected to improve between 9.5 and 11.3 cents per share. The HLPS for the year
ended 30 June 2003 was 17.1 cents per share and the LPS was 13.3 cents per
share.
Shareholders attention is drawn to the fact that the financial information on
which this trading statement has been based has not been reviewed or reported on
by the Company`s auditors in accordance with paragraph 3.4 (b)(vi)(1)(aa) or 3.4
(b)(vi)(1)(bb) of the JSE Listings Requirements.
Furthermore, shareholders are advised that the company`s 2004 financial results
due to be published by the end of September 2004, in terms of the JSE Listings
Requirements are only expected to be published in October 2004.
