following information is disclosed wherein the chairman, Mr TE Jones exercised
share options as follows:

Vesting date : 02.02.1998
Exercise date : 07.10.2004
Number of shares : 6 000
Total value : R63 000
Nature of interest : Direct beneficial
The shares will be sold in due course for appropriate alignment with his desired
investment portfolio.
In terms of Section 3.66 of the JSE Listings Requirements prior clearance to
deal in the above securities has been obtained from the designated director of
the Board of Highveld.
