Following the partial withdrawal of shares by LA Group N and notification from
the Stock Exchange, FTSE and the JSE announces the following changes:
INDEX CHANGE EFFECTIVE FROM
START OF TRADING
FTSE/JSE Africa Fledgling (J204) LA Group N (South Africa, ZAE000028684,
6002709) will remain in the index with a decreased shares in issue figure of
26,726,900 and an unchanged investability weighting of 100%. 27 October 2004
