from the Stock Exchange, FTSE and the JSE announces the following changes:

FTSE/JSE Africa Mid Cap (J201) Alexander Forbes (South Africa, ZAE000018230,
6348180) will remain in the index with an increased shares in issue figure of
468,841,404 and an unchanged investability weighting of 100%. 28 October 2004
FTSE/JSE Africa All Share (J203) Alexander Forbes will be treated as above.
