RENEWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are referred to the announcement, and the cautionary notice
contained therein, dated 15 September 2004 regarding:
- the acquisition, conditional upon approval of the Competition Authorities,
by Steinhoff International Holdings Limited (`Steinhoff`) of the 44%
shareholding of Murray & Roberts Holdings Limited in Unitrans (`the
Steinhoff acquisition`); and
- the mandatory offer to be made by Steinhoff to Unitrans shareholders to
acquire their Unitrans shares upon the Steinhoff acquisition becoming
unconditional (`the mandatory offer`).
As the price per Unitrans share at which the Steinhoff acquisition, and
consequently the price per Unitrans share that will be applicable under the
mandatory offer, must still be finally determined, Unitrans shareholders are
advised to continue exercising caution when dealing in Unitrans shares until
such price is announced.
