Anglo Platinum enters exploration joint venture agreement with Platinum Group
Metals and Africa Wide Mineral Prospecting and Exploration
Anglo Platinum is pleased to announce that it has entered into an exploration
joint venture with BEE consortium Africa Wide Mineral Prospecting and
Exploration (Pty) Ltd and Canadian exploration company Platinum Group Metals Ltd
(`PTM`). In terms of the agreement PTM will conduct exploration at its own cost
on a number of farms held by PTM and Anglo Platinum. PTM and Anglo Platinum will
each own an initial 37% working interest in the JV, while Africa Wide will own
an initial 26% working interest.
The conclusion of the joint venture agreement will be subject to certain
conditions including the obtaining of the necessary regulatory and statutory
consents and authorisations.
