Notice is hereby given that a dividend of 322 cents per convertible perpetual
cumulative preference share (`preference share`) has been declared and is
payable to holders of preference shares recorded in the preference share
register of the Company at the close of business on the record date, Friday, 26
November 2004. The last day to trade in order to receive the preference
dividend is Friday, 19 November 2004.
The salient dates for the preference dividend are as follows:

Shares trade ex dividend Monday, 22 November
Record date for preference dividend Friday, 26 November
Payment of preference dividend Tuesday, 30 November
No preference share certificates may be dematerialised or rematerialised and no
conversion of preference shares into ordinary shares will be allowed during the
period Monday, 22 November 2004 to Friday, 26 November 2004, both dates
inclusive.
