FURTHER CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Further to the cautionary announcement dated 29 September 2004 advising
shareholders that AST has entered into heads of agreement with its major funders
and Gijima Info Technologies Afrika (Proprietary) Limited, the execution of
which will result in the recapitalisation of AST by means of an underwritten
rights offer and the introduction of a substantial Black Economic Empowerment
shareholding, shareholders are advised that negotiations between the parties
have reached an advanced stage, the final outcome of which may have a material
effect on the price of AST`s shares. Accordingly, shareholders are advised to
continue exercising caution when dealing in AST shares until a full announcement
is made.
