Further to the announcement dated 5 October 2004, Rand Merchant Bank, a division
of FirstRand Bank Limited is authorised to announce that the acquisition by
Connection Group of the business of Beyond IT (Proprietary) Limited (`the
acquisition`) has become unconditional as a result of the fulfilment of all of
the suspensive conditions to which the acquisition was subject including the
approval of the acquisition by the competition authorities, in terms of the
Competition Act, No 89 of 1998.
