Finalisation of the disposal of the Ansbacher Group
Shareholders are referred to the announcement published on
1 July 2004, in which FirstRand announced that it had reached agreement, subject
to certain conditions precedent, to dispose of its interest in Ansbacher
Holdings Limited to Qatar National Bank, (`the disposal`).
FirstRand is pleased to announce that the necessary regulatory approvals have
been obtained and that all the conditions precedent have been fulfilled in
respect of the disposal.
