DECLARED DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON AFRICAN BANK INVESTMENTS LIMITED ENHANCED
DIVIDEND SECURITIES - (`ABLIDA`)
With reference to the dividend announcement dated 11 November 2004, the
Directors of African Bank Investments Limited have declared an interim ordinary
dividend of 57 cents per ordinary share and a special dividend of 53 cents per
share payable simultaneously on Monday 13 December 2004 to ordinary shareholders
recorded in the books of the company at the close of business on Friday, 10
December 2004.
Accordingly, the warrant holders of the Enhanced Dividend Securities, ABLIDA,
will receive an African Bank Investments Limited dividend of 57 cents per
security and a special dividend of 53 cents per security. The last day to trade
(`cum` the dividend) in order to participate in the dividend will be Friday, 3
December 2004.
ABLIDA Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading `ex` the dividend from
the commencement of business on Monday 6 December 2004, and the record date will
be Friday 10 December 2004.
