PROPOSED CHANGE OF NAME OF THE COMPANY TO AFRICAN DAWN CAPITAL LIMITED
1. Introduction
The Company announced on 13 October 2004 the acquisition of African Dawn
Investments (Pty) Limited in terms of a Black Economic Empowerment
transaction. The directors are proposing to change the name of the Company
to African Dawn Capital Limited and are of the opinion that the new name is
better suited to the market within which the Company operates. In addition
the new name more accurately reflects the cultural diversity of the
business and the Company`s target market.
2. Name change
In order to more fully reflect ABC`s new corporate identity and the
underlying nature of business, the board proposes to change the name of the
Company to African Dawn Capital Limited, with an abbreviated name AfDawn,
short code ADW and ISIN ZAE 000060703, from commencement of business on
Friday, 24 December 2004.

4. General meeting and documentation
A circular to ABC shareholders containing details of the name change and
incorporating a notice of general meeting of shareholders will be mailed to
shareholders on 17 November 2004.
