ACCEPTANCES UNDER THE SECTION 440K(3)(a) NOTICE (`the Notice`) IN TERMS OF THE
COMPANIES ACT, 1973 (ACT 61 OF 1973), AS AMENDED (`the Act`)
Barplats shareholders are referred to the notice and related announcement on
SENS on 16 August 2004. The notice period closed at 12:00 on Friday, 19 November
2004 and the Platinum Consortium is pleased to announce that it received
additional acceptances in respect of 128 757 Barplats shares during the notice
period.
Following the closure of the notice period, the Platinum Consortium hold 205 000
145 Barplats shares, representing 92,1% of the entire issued share capital of
Barplats.
