Provisional winding-up order
1. Shareholders are informed that pursuant to a winding up application made by
EC-Hold to the High Court of South Africa, Witwatersrand Local Division (`High
Court`), EC-Hold was placed under provisional liquidation on the 16th November.
Upon the High Court ordering the final winding-up of EC-Hold, the JSE Securities
Exchange of South Africa (`JSE`) will be approached to terminate the listing of
EC-Hold shares on the JSE.
2. THE HIGH COURT OF SOUTH AFRICA (WITWATERSRAND LOCAL DIVISION), IN CASE NO:
2004/28163 P/H NO: 1000, ordered as follows:

HAVING read the documents filed of record and having considered the matter:
IT IS ORDERED:
1. That the abovementioned Applicant Company is hereby placed under
provisional winding up.
2. That all persons who have a legitimate interest are called upon to put
forward their reasons why this court should not order the final winding up of
the Applicant Company on 18 January 2005.
3. That a copy of this order be served on the Applicant Company at its
registered office at 22 Milkyway Avenue, Linbro Business Park, Johannesburg.
4. That a copy be published forthwith once in the Government Gazette, The Star
newspaper, the Business Day newspaper and by way of one announcement on the
Stock Exchange News Service.
5. That a copy of this order be forthwith forwarded to each known creditor by
prepaid registered post or by electronically receipted telefax transmission.
