CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with the rule 3.67 of the JSE Listings Requirements, the following
information is disclosed:
The company wishes to announce that Messrs. AC Ball and E Gutierrez-Garcia have
tendered their resignations as directors of this company with effect from 24
November 2004.
Messrs. Ball and Gutierrez-Garcia, who had been representatives on the board on
behalf of the Brait group, had agreed to continue to serve as directors until
the proposed black economic empowerment (BEE) transaction had been finalised.
Given that the full details of the transaction have been disclosed, approved and
two BEE appointments have been proposed to replace them on the board, it has
been agreed that Messrs. Ball and Gutierrez-Garcia shall resign from the AFGRI
board of directors with immediate effect.
The Chairman and the board of directors wish to express their thanks and
appreciation to Messrs. Ball and Gutierrez-Garcia for their contribution to the
company during their tenure.
