As a consequence of the unbundling by Tiger Brands, Mr. Roy Smither has resigned
as a non-executive director from the board of Spar with effect from 16 November
2004.
The Spar board thus consists of the following directors:
Independent, non-executive directors: Michael Hankinson (Chairman), David
Gibbon, Rowan Hutchison, Phinda Madi, Harish Mehta and Gugu Moloi.
Executive directors: Peter Hughes (Chief Executive) and Rodney Coe (Finance).
