Withdrawal of Cautionary Announcement
Shareholders are referred to the cautionary announcement dated 11 October 2004
and the Joint Announcement by Afrox Healthcare Limited (`Ahealth`), Business
Venture Investments No. 790 (Proprietary) Limited (`Bidco`), African Oxygen
Limited and Medi-Clinic dated 30 November 2004 regarding an agreement reached
relating to the proposed merger between Ahealth and Bidco. As set out in the
Joint Announcement, the parties have agreed that Medi-Clinic will enable the BEE
companies in Bidco (Brimstone Investments Corporation Limited and Mvelaphanda
Strategic Investments (Proprietary) Limited) to pursue the acquisition of
Ahealth without any Medi-Clinic participation.
Medi-Clinic shareholders are therefore advised that caution is no longer
required to be exercised when dealing in their securities.
