Bridgestone Firestone Maxiprest Limited announces that Mr T Wada, the Non-
executive Chairman of the company, will be returning to Japan during the course
of December 2004 and has resigned as Chairman and director of the company.
The company expresses it`s thanks to Mr T Wada for his contribution to the
company and wish him well in his future endeavors.
Mr Y Ito, the Non Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer elect of
Bridgestone South Africa (Pty) Ltd, has been appointed as Non-Executive Chairman
of Bridgestone Firestone Maxiprest Limited.
Both Mr T Wada`s resignation and Mr Y Ito`s appointment are effective from 1
December 2004.
