TRADING STATEMENT
Shareholders were advised on 27 September 2004 that management would continue to
evaluate the investments and operating activities during the balance of the
financial year in order to determine whether any further write-downs or
provisions were necessary. Operations are currently being restructured to
minimize our risk.
As a result of difficult trading conditions and further write-downs and
provisions arising from the restructuring, the Group will make a loss for the
year ending 31 December 2004 which is currently estimated to be between R35
million and R45 million. The restructuring of the operations should set a base
for improved performance in 2005.
The information in this trading statement has not been reviewed or reported on
by the Group`s auditors.
